Maven splits its riflescopes between the premium RS family and the lower-priced CRS family. The key choice is role, not maximum magnification. A hunting rifle that is carried all day benefits from a compact objective and protected turrets. A precision rifle benefits from more adjustment, a visible revolution system and controls that are difficult to disturb accidentally.
RS.1 and RS1.2: 2.5-15×44 Hunting Scopes
The RS.1 is the simpler hunting model: 24.5 oz, FFP, capped elevation and windage, no illumination and MOA adjustments. The RS1.2 adds illumination, a mechanical zero stop, an exposed elevation turret, capped windage and a MIL option. I prefer the RS1.2 for a rifle that will be dialled; choose the RS.1 when protected turrets and lower weight matter more.
RS.3 and RS3.2: The Lighter 5-30x Route
My original RS.3 field review is still useful, but buyers need to know that Maven now sells the RS3.2. The current model keeps the 5-30×50 FFP format and 30mm tube while adding capped windage, a larger elevation turret and an improved zero stop. It is the more natural choice for a long-range hunting rifle than the heavier 56mm models.
RS.4 and RS4.2: Precision and Competition
The RS.4 5-30×56 remains current and provides 35.5 MIL or 120 MOA of elevation, illumination and a large 56mm objective. The RS4.2 does not simply replace it: the newer model adds a three-revolution locking elevation turret, capped windage, a toolless zero stop and auto-off illumination while trimming the listed weight from 35.4 to 33.2 oz. Those control changes are the reason to spend more, not the shared 5-30x number.
RS.6: A 1-10×28 LPVO With a Precision Bias
The RS.6 is Maven’s 34mm, first-focal-plane LPVO. Its locking elevation turret, 10 MIL per revolution and reticle options give it more mid-range intent than a basic hunting LPVO. It is a technical guide on this site, not a claimed hands-on review.

Maven Binoculars: B Series or C Series?
The B Series is Maven’s premium binocular range, while the C Series is the more affordable, batch-produced line. The B1.2 is the model I know best. More power is not automatically better if the narrower field of view and hand shake slow down target acquisition.

S1.2A: Premium 80mm Spotter
The S1.2A review is the strongest choice when detail and low-light performance matter more than pack weight. Its interchangeable eyepieces are the real advantage: 25-50x wide-angle, 30-65x high-power, or fixed 30x MOA/MIL reticle options. My range use favours the reticle eyepiece for calling corrections and the wide-angle zoom for general observation.

CS.1A: Packable 65mm Spotter
The CS.1A 15-45×65 gives up some low-light reach and top-end detail to save meaningful size and weight. I used my mate’s unit in Australian conditions and on a New Zealand hunt. It is the one I would choose when the spotter must live in a pack rather than beside a range bench.




Maven Rangefinders and Monoculars

For riflescopes, confirm MOA versus MIL before purchase and match the ring diameter to the actual tube: 30mm and 34mm Maven models are both common. For spotters, price the eyepiece and tripod system as a complete setup. For rangefinders, advertised reflective range is not the same as reliable ranging on animals in poor conditions.
