Tangent Theta Long Range Precision Optics have announced the new 7-35×56 high-end rifle scope designed for long-range shooting. It was first shown off at ShotShow 2023 as a new addition to the Tangent Theta line of rifle scopes, which are known for their exceptional optical quality and rugged construction. The Tangent Theta made our 2023 Best 8 Premium Long Range Scopes article earlier in the year.
One of the key features of the new Tangent Theta 7-35×56 is its large magnification range of 7-35x, which makes it an ideal choice for long-range shooting and hunting. The scope also has a large 56mm objective lens that allows for excellent light transmission, helping you make shots in low-light conditions.
The Tangent Theta 7-35×56 displayed at ShotShow had the Gen3XR first focal plane reticle. Tangent have stated that other reticles will be available in the future and we can already see some retailers showing a version with the TREMOR3 will be available. The scope also features a patented Locking Turret System, which ensures that your zero settings remain locked in place even under heavy recoil and heavy use in the field.
Much like the other optics in the series, the Tangent Theta 7-35×56 is built to withstand harsh environments and rough handling. It has a rugged aluminum housing that is shockproof, waterproof, and fog proof. The scope is also backed by a lifetime warranty, which speaks to the confidence that the manufacturer has in its product.
“There is nothing in the space that offers the optical quality and mechanical precision of this telescope” says David Sanderson, Sales for Tangent Theta, in describing the new TT735P, “it delivers better positive target identification at distance with the increased magnification, and also features the ability to parallax down 10 meters which is unique in our lineup” he added, features that are a benefit to the Extreme Long Range and Precision Rifle Series marksman. Additionally, David told us that the new offering is about 24mm shorter than the 5-25x56mm Professional model.
“We are extremely proud of our team and all the hard work they put into making this 7-35 a reality…” says Trevor Publicover, VP Sales for Armament Technology Inc., Tangent Theta’s parent company, he continues “this has been a two year journey from design, to tooling, fabricating and testing that gets us here today at SHOT to give our dealers and customers the chance to have a first look and hear their response. There’s a lot that goes in to making a Tangent Theta.”
Overall, the new 7-35×56 looks to be an exceptional rifle scope that is designed for serious shooters and hunters who demand the best in terms of optical quality, performance, and durability. However, it is also quite expensive, with a price tag that may be out of reach for many budget-conscious shooters.
