The Zero Compromise ZC420 has built a reputation for delivering big performance in a compact frame. It’s a purpose built rifle scope that brings excellent long range capability.
The ZC420 runs from 4× to 20× magnification. That gives you a wide field of view at the low end, 28 feet at 100 yards, for quick target acquisition. Dial it up to 20×, and you’ve got reach past 1,000 yards. That range makes it a versatile little scope for anyone considering a high-end field optic.

Size wise, the entire scope measures 325 mm (12.8 inches) long and weighs 986g (36.5 oz). That keeps it agile on the rifle without sacrificing performance.

Optically, it’s impressive as with everything coming out of the ZC factory. You get a 36mm main tube, a 50mm objective lens, and over 92 per cent light transmission. That means crisp images, accurate colours and solid resolution, even when the light is fading.
The mechanical design matches the glass. The ZC420 delivers 35 mils of elevation adjustment and 20 mils of windage travel. The turrets lock down to preserve zero, and everything is made tough, think hardened steel parts and optically secured lenses designed to keep tracking even under recoil or rough handling.
Reticle options are solid too. You can pick from first focal plane patterns like MPCT1X, MPCT2X, MPCT3X or MOA Tremor3. These designs range from simple mil‑based layouts to more complex versions with ranging features, handy if you’re working on the move.

There’s also illumination in red or green, with settings for low light or even night vision compatibility. And though the details vary, many models come with Return‑to‑Zero capability and right or left windage turret options, offering some flexibility.
Put simply, the ZC420 is about bringing long range work into a manageable, well balanced package. It focuses on clarity, solid mechanics and real world usability. If you want a scope that performs at both ends of the distance scale without being too bulky Zero Compromise deserves a look if its within your budget.
