Italian firearm manufacturer Victrix offer a range of well thought out sporting and tactical rifles. Their rifles are rarely seen at the shooting range in Aus but they catch the eye with their sleek design on the line when one shows up.
If you are a serious competition shooter the attention to detail and proven performance of the Victrix Venus X has its appeal. Victrix offer the Venus X in 6.5×47 Lapua, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308WIN. For those wanting more choice in calibers, especially in the 6mm range, the Venus is also offered in other models including the Venus T and Venus V with each model having some slight differences. For example the V model is a little more PRS focused and has a straight grip and more M-LOK slots on the chassis.

The barrel length on the Victrix Venus X is 24” and the overall weight of the rifle is 5.9 kg / 13 lb. Measuring in with an overall length of 1170mm / 46.06” it is a hefty package, but for the long distance precision shooter the weight and longer barrel are positives in helping to reduce recoil and achieve faster muzzle velocity.
The Venus X features a hammer-forged Lothar Walther barrel in a black Cerakoted matt finish. The buttstock is adjustable for length of pull and cheek height. Another interesting feature is the full length ARCA rail and 20MOA integrated picatinny optics rail.
These aren’t a budget minded rifle but high quality gear has the associated high price tag and these have a RRP of $5299 AUD at the time of writing.
