Just announced by Weatherby is the new Model 307 bolt action range. This includes the RANGE XP, ALPINE MDT rifles and a standalone builders action. Built around a Remington 700 footprint, the range series feature a fluted bolt, TriggerTech triggers, AICS magazines and a tool less bolt take down.

The carbon fiber MDT chassis features a folding stock, length of pull, cheek comb adjustment and AICS magazine compatibility. Both the bolt and barrel are fluted to reduce weight. The 6.5 Creedmoor variant of the Alpine MDT weighs in at a very low 6.8lb / 3kg.
