BANISH has introduced its Competition Series, opening the range with the COMP 6.5 SS and COMP 6.5 TI. The launch marks the brand’s first dedicated .264-bore suppressor line and a more explicit focus on precision and match shooting.
The two models divide that brief by material and intended role. BANISH positions the stainless-steel SS around extended match-rifle use, while the titanium TI places more emphasis on weight for applications that also include hunting. The company describes cartridge coverage from .22 Creedmoor through to 6.5 PRC.
Stainless Steel and Titanium Versions
The most obvious difference in the announcement is weight. The TI is 3.5 ounces lighter in the flat-cap configuration, while both versions share the same stated length. The listed weights differ depending on which end component is fitted.
| Specification | COMP 6.5 SS | COMP 6.5 TI |
|---|---|---|
| Construction | Welded stainless steel | Welded titanium |
| Weight, flat cap | 12.2 oz | 8.7 oz |
| Weight, brake fitted | 14.6 oz | 10.4 oz |

Figures are from BANISH’s launch announcement. The US MSRPs are launch figures, not Australian retail prices.

What Comes With the Series
Both models are announced with a flat 6.5mm cap and a two-port brake. BANISH lists a 1.61-inch diameter and a Cerakote finish. These are shared series details, rather than features exclusive to the lighter titanium version.
The Published Sound Figures Need Context
BANISH reports averages of 130.8 dB with the flat cap and 142.9 dB with the brake, measured at the shooter’s ear using a 20-inch 6.5 Creedmoor bolt-action rifle. These are manufacturer-reported results for the stated test setup, not independent measurements by PrecisionRifle.
A single pair of numbers is not enough to establish a universal ranking against other suppressors. Any meaningful comparison needs consistent test conditions and measurement methods. The two configurations should therefore be compared separately.
A More Specialised Direction for BANISH
The broader story is the way BANISH is dividing its range by application. Competition Series is a deliberate identity, with the initial pair addressing different weight priorities within that category. It is a narrower brief than a general-purpose product announcement.
