Shooting long range even with a spotting scope can sometimes he hard to spot an impact. The HIT Target Impact Indicator attaches to a target stand (not the target itself), ready to light up with every successful shot. Hornady explains how it functions as:
“Equipped with a sensitive accelerometer, the HIT Impact Indicator detects bullet vibrations for precise activation. Regardless of caliber, every shot is registered accurately. When a hit is registered, the HIT Indicator communicates impacts in style by blinking ‘H-I-T’ in Morse code, adding an extra layer of excitement to your shooting sessions.”
Another interesting feature is that even at 1000 yards the HIT Indicator’s flash is designed to be visible with the naked eye. The HIT Target Impact Indicator is designed for steel targets and won’t work with paper or other non-metal targets.
