The 1853 Enfield reproduction by Chiappa is a very niche firearm, tailored towards those with an interest in history. Chiappa have taken one of the most popular rifle muskets of the 19th century and given it the full treatment, reproducing it so it can be enjoyed today.
The 39 inch barrel is as long and straight as a Roman road, while the rifle’s three band configuration and brass fittings look like they’ve just stepped out of a Victorian military parade. The stock, made from European walnut, is very nice quality and gleams like a prized antique.
Chambered in .577 caliber, the 1853 Enfield is a true classic brought back to life.
