New Optic | Meopta MeoSport R 3-15×50

Marketed as a feature packed entry level hunting scope, the Meopta MeoSport R 3-15×50 is the first scope in a new series announced from Meopta.

The scope is designed with several features for the budget minded hunter including its light weight and locking windage and elevation turrets. The turrets are also designed with smooth edges to lower the risk of them getting snagged or caught on anything when in the field.

An unexpected addition with the Meopta MeoSport R is the inclusion of scope rings with the optic. This is a nice extra that helps alleviate researching what ring height you will need.

The maintube is 30mm and the optic runs in the second focal plane. The MeoSport R 3-15×50 comes with the 4C illuminated reticle. Its a European hunting style reticle with included illuminated center dot.

Weighing in at 655g / 23.1oz the scope is a good weight for hunting, when carrying a rifle makes you count every ounce of your setup.

The Meopta MeoSport also included locking elevation and windage turrets. Pulling up to make a change and then pushing the turret down to lock.

Another great feature is the parallax adjustment starting at just 10 yards and adjustable out to infinity. This is a very close setting range with most optics starting around the 20 yard range.

The Meopta MeoSport R 3-15×50 looks to be a solid hunting scope and there will likely be more variants added to the line up. We will be keeping an eye out for more scopes in the Meopta MeoSport lineup.
