The retail book pictured here is a commercial compilation or reproduction of U.S. Army sniper training material. It should not be confused with Major John Plaster’s separate book, The Ultimate Sniper, and it should not be treated as though one named author wrote current Army doctrine.
Army sniper training covers far more than firing a small group. Current official course material includes direct-fire engagement, body position, ballistic calculators, unknown-distance and moving targets, observation and fieldcraft.
