Slovenian manufacturer Akila has detailed the EVA-Tac, a straight-pull precision rifle built around an aluminium chassis and a choice of three chamberings. The design combines an adjustable folding stock, an ARCA fore-end and Akila’s own action, giving the company a complete rifle alongside its established chassis range.
The chassis is central to the design. Akila offers different fore-end lengths, two buttstocks and several exterior finishes, with the same straight-pull concept running through the range. The choices make more sense when looked at together, particularly for shooters weighing up a compact configuration against a longer competition-oriented layout.
Akila already makes chassis for rifles including the Blaser R8 and R93, Tikka T3 and T3x, Beretta BRX1 and Remington 700 footprint short actions. That background shows in the EVA-Tac’s familiar combination of a skeletonised buttstock, separate fore-end and interchangeable exterior panels.
Three chamberings and a straight-pull action
Akila lists .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor and .338 Lapua Magnum for the EVA-Tac. The range covers both common short-action precision-rifle cartridges and the larger .338 Lapua option.
The action is Akila’s patented straight-pull design. Its bolt handle works through a linear movement instead of the separate lifting and lowering movement of a conventional turn-bolt. Akila says the layout is intended to minimise disturbance to the rifle’s position during cycling.
The rifle also has a modular barrel and magazine arrangement. Akila identifies AICS-pattern and Accuracy International AX magazine options, with the appropriate configuration depending on the chambering. The catalogue lists a 10-round capacity and a 20 MOA Picatinny scope rail.
Barrel lengths run from 508 to 660mm, or 20 to 26 inches. Overall length is listed at 1,090 to 1,250mm, falling to 832 to 985mm with the stock folded. These are configuration ranges across the family, so the shortest and longest figures shouldn’t be treated as dimensions for every model.

Stock and fore-end choices
The receiver is machined from aluminium billet with a black hard-anodised finish. QD sling sockets sit on both sides above the pistol grip, while polymer, walnut and carbon-composite exterior fittings give the rifle quite different appearances without changing its basic layout.
There are two main buttstock options. The Buttstock M includes an integrated monopod; the Buttstock Lite uses a simpler skeletonised lower section with an M-LOK slot. Both are machined from 7075-T651 aluminium and have cheekpiece, length-of-pull and recoil-pad adjustment, and the folding arrangement can be configured for either side.
The three ARCA Foreend X choices are Short, Standard and Long. Each combines M-LOK attachment surfaces with an underside ARCA rail. Akila positions the Long version for PRS use, with more length and rigidity, while Standard sits between the two extremes.
Akila’s EVA-Tac model page sets out the full configuration options.
