Arken Releases the TARGETLOCK TL3000 Rifle-Mounted Rangefinder

Arken has launched the TARGETLOCK TL3000, its compact rifle-mounted laser rangefinder with an onboard DNT ballistic engine. Released on 23 October, it combines a rear OLED display, stored profiles and wireless weather-meter connectivity in one unit.

The interesting part is how much information Arken has brought together in a small housing. A handheld rangefinder, phone and weather meter each have a familiar place in long-range shooting. The TL3000 puts the distance readout and ballistic information on a dedicated screen attached to the rifle.

Ranging and a dedicated display

The headline maximum is 3,000 yards, approximately 2,743 metres. Arken lists a separate 1,100-yard figure for deer-sized targets, approximately 1,006 metres. Those are different target categories, so the larger number shouldn’t be read as a universal ranging distance. The stated accuracy is plus or minus one yard within 2,000 yards, with readings displayed in 0.1-yard increments.

The rear OLED screen has an anti-reflection coating. Its layout brings together distance, elevation and windage information, with indicators for the active profile, Bluetooth, battery and cant. The manual describes both single-pulse and continuous ranging, plus line-of-sight and horizontal-distance modes. Physical controls include a top button pad and rotary power switch, and a wired remote switch is supplied.

DNT profiles and wireless support

There are 10 onboard ballistic-profile slots. The DNT app handles profile synchronisation and over-the-air firmware updates on iOS and Android, with an ammunition library of more than 6,000 entries. Bluetooth connectivity also supports compatible Kestrel weather meters. Arken specifies Bluetooth or LiNK-equipped models, rather than every device carrying the Kestrel name.

Arken has also announced Calypso ultrasonic-sensor support through a firmware update before the end of 2026. That connection remains a planned addition, while compatible Kestrel connectivity is part of the launch specification.

Size, power and pricing

The housing measures 92 x 59 x 35mm. Arken lists a net weight of 213g and gives the Picatinny mount its own 42g specification. Black and Flat Dark Earth are the two finishes. The unit carries an IP67 protection rating and a three-year warranty.

Battery figures depend on the cell. Arken quotes up to 5,000 single measurements or six hours under its stated duty-cycle test with a non-rechargeable CR123A. The supplied USB-C rechargeable 16340 cells are rated for 3,000 measurements or 2.5 hours under that test. The longer runtime therefore doesn’t describe the included rechargeables.

The US launch promotion was advertised around US$599. Aus retailers list the black TL3000 at A$1,198.95.
