MDT has introduced a new scope tube accessory mount for shooters who want an attachment point without changing their scope rings. The Scope Tube Mount With Adjustable V-Mount is a separate, two-piece collar that fits around the optic, with versions for 30mm, 34mm, 35mm and 36mm tubes.
It is an accessory carrier, not a replacement for the rings securing the scope to the rifle. Multiple V-Mount positions and an included V-Mount-to-Picatinny adapter provide attachment options for levels, DOPE-card holders, turret magnifiers and compatible red-dot mounts.
MDT Scope Tube Mount: Sizes and Price
All four versions are listed at US$69.99. The package includes the collar, the two-hole Picatinny adapter and six screws. MDT lists these weights:
- 30mm: 0.9 oz
- 34mm: 1.1 oz
- 35mm: 1.1 oz
- 36mm: 1.0 oz

How It Differs From Accessory Ring Caps
MDT already offers Accessory Scope Ring Caps for its Elite Scope Rings and One-Piece Scope Mount. Those replace the existing upper caps and provide three accessory positions across their top surfaces. They are sold as a pair, with 34mm and 35mm options listed. The 35mm MDT accessory ring caps are also listed at EuroOptic.
The distinction is where the accessory attaches: the existing caps are part of a compatible MDT scope mount, while the new collar attaches independently to the tube. That gives the two products different audiences. Someone already using MDT’s compatible rings may prefer the cap system; someone happy with another brand’s rings has more reason to consider the separate collar.
A Small Addition to MDT’s Accessory Range
The launch sits alongside MDT’s growing range of competition accessories. Its SEND IT Gen2 electronic level provides a visible level indication, while the CRUSH IT stage timer displays the time remaining in a stage. These compact devices illustrate how much equipment now competes for space around a match rifle’s optic.
For prospective buyers, the useful question is whether a separate collar solves a genuine space or compatibility problem. Adding another attachment point is only worthwhile if it gives an existing accessory a better home. On a rifle already equipped with suitable accessory caps, there may be little reason to add another component.
