Tikka has expanded its US T3x ACE range with left-handed versions of the ACE Target and ACE Game. The September announcement brings a factory left-hand action to both branches of the chassis-based family, extending the range beyond its existing right-handed configurations.
The distinction is important: this is a left-handed rifle configuration, not simply an adjustable stock described as ambidextrous. Tikka’s US announcement identifies both models as part of the expansion, with Beretta USA handling the brand’s American distribution.
Two Models, Two Different Roles
The ACE Target remains the sport-shooting model, while the ACE Game occupies the crossover position between hunting and range use. Their shared chassis gives the family a common appearance, but the barrel configuration separates the two.
T3x ACE Target: The Competition-Oriented Variant
The left-hand ACE Target announcement lists .223 Remington, .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor. It also identifies a heavy barrel, adjustable two-stage trigger and supplied 10-round metal magazine.
The broader ACE Target platform uses a cold-hammer-forged, free-floating barrel and a chassis with adjustments for length of pull, cheek support and recoil-pad position. These are established characteristics of the family rather than separate innovations introduced by the left-hand announcement.
Tikka positions the heavy-barrel model around sustained range and competition use.
T3x ACE Game: A Different Barrel Profile
The ACE Game retains a fluted, medium-contour barrel rather than the Target’s heavy profile. It shares the modular chassis concept and adjustable rear-stock arrangement, with an interchangeable magazine well also identified among its features.
That distinction preserves the Game’s mixed field-and-range identity. Although the two models share much of their visual language, it would be misleading to describe the Game as simply a Target with a different finish. The barrel is part of the underlying difference between their intended roles.
The US release describes a broader chambering selection for the Game but does not enumerate it. The international model catalogue should not automatically be treated as a complete list of US left-hand configurations.
The US Range Expansion
The confirmed development is the expansion of the US ACE family to include left-handed Target and Game variants. It does not establish a simultaneous release in every country, nor does it provide a complete market-by-market delivery schedule. Those details should remain separate from the model announcement.
The significance is straightforward: left-handed representation now extends across both of the centre-fire ACE roles described in the release. For a platform built around adjustable ergonomics, adding the corresponding action orientation is a more substantive change than another colour option. It broadens who the factory range accommodates while keeping the Target and Game identities intact.
